Union Bank recrute un assistant en technologies de l’information, Douala, Cameroun

Union Bank of Cameroon Plc is presently in search of Information Technology Assistants in its head office, Douala – Cameroon. Opportunity is open for both internal and external candidates

Key Responsibilities :

• Web and Application Administration ;
• Build functional and easy-to-use websites ;
• Test websites across browsers, operating systems and device ;
• Ensure site security by setting up firewalls and login pages ;
• Optimize loading speeds and capacity ;
• Debug pages and fix broken links or images ;
• Update website content and review SEO ;
• Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g. traffic, conversions) ;
• Troubleshoot failures of applications running in the bank ;
• Provide front line support to applications running in the bank ;
• System Administration ;
• Operate/administer computer & telecommunications software, networks and information systems solutions ;
• Design and implement LAN and WAN public and private networks in branches ;
• Ensure timely backups of all necessary systems data ;
• Ensure high standards of systems availability across range of physical conditions ;
• User Systems ;
• Support all users, upgrade and maintain software ensuring that all application are up and running ;
• Provide basic hardware repair, network and support as needed ;
• IT Management & Administration ;
• Manage IT service providers to ensure provision of optimal service levels within the organization ;
• Train staff on use of various technologies in use ;
• Document office IT systems ;
• Adapt systems documentation as necessary.

Position Requirements :

• Knowledge on Project Management ;
• Knowledge of Database Administration ;
• Good knowledge on Computer Networking (Protocols, Routing, Switching, LAN, WAN, Firewall DNS, DHCP, etc…) ;
• Knowledge on MS Windows Servers Operating Systems ;
• Knowledge on MS Exchange 2013 and MS Office ;
• Good organizational and disciplinary skills ;
• Good aptitude of versality ;
• Ability to work in project-mode and meet deadlines.

Behavioral skills and Candidate profile :

• Minimum of B. Sc degree or equivalent in computer sciences, project management or other related disciplines ;
• Minimum of Three (3) year experience. An experience in the banking sector will be an added advantage ;
• Proficient in HTML/CSS, XML, PHP, Java; knowledge of SQL and JavaScript is preferred ;
• Reliability and quality orientation, proactivity, cooperation and team spirit ;
• Ability to understand risks related to activities within his or her job responsibilities ;
• Ability to express self in English and French ;
• Strong sense of Rigor, Synthesis and analysis.
