Job Description
Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) is an African nongovernmental organization
based in Cameroon. ISA specializes in advocacy and strategic
communications with the main objective of contributing to the malaria
fight and improvement of people’s health.

ISA has co-established and coordinates the newly launched global
platform of malaria civil society organizations (CS4ME) which aims to
increase malaria advocacy and programs are communities centered,
gender-sensitive, sufficiently funded, and inclusive of civil society.

ISA seeks an experienced Civil Society Engagement Officer to support
the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) engagement in malaria, the
CS4ME network key activities and help achieve its objectives via the
implementation of its strategic plan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Civil Society Engagement Officer will be responsible to support
the implementation of CS4ME strategic plan and engagement of civil
society organizations in malaria advocacy.

He/she will lead the implementation of CS4ME key advocacy campaigns,
capacity-building activities, development and roll of tools for CSOs,
coordination of activities, and malaria engagement actions thus
influencing CS4ME work at the national, regional, and global levels to
achieve significant impact.

Program implementation
Support the development and implementation of a strong and robust CSOs
engagement program in malaria.
Support the growth of CS4ME's and promote its advocacy campaigns and events.
Make the link with international dynamics to ensure CS4ME key
contribution and actions at the national, regional, and international
level.
Lead the mobilization of CSOs towards the implementation of the CS4ME
2021-2025 strategic plan.
Maintain regular contact with civil society representatives and assist
in identifying and addressing their needs in line with CS4ME
objectives.
Contribute to the planning and development of CS4ME projects/activities.
Support the communications activities of CS4ME.
Facilitate, including logistical support, the organization of
workshops, training sessions, and other events.
Draft programs, trainings, and events reports.
Maintain complete records of training and information materials.
Produce on a regular basis a file related to the monitoring and
evaluation of activities.
Develop and support a mechanism for CSOs engagement.
Support data collection to demonstrate the impact of CSOs in malaria.
Provide mentoring and coaching to civil society partners.
Provide weekly updates on project activities to team members.
Develop and maintain up-to-date files of program information and
materials and produce CS4ME newsletter.
Supervise selected CS4ME members administration of groups on social media.
Enforce publications of CS4ME member's activities on social media and
others support.
Undertake other duties as assigned by the Global Coordinator.


Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights, Public Health, Political
Sciences, Communications, or Advocacy, Social Sciences, Management or
related fields.
At least 4 years’ experience in related fields.
Ability to write and speak fluently in English and French.
Experience in an advocacy role is essential.
Ability to work in an international/multicultural environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report
writing) in English and French to produce professional documents of
national and international standards and to participate in policy
discussions and debates.
Excellent relationship management skills. Strong negotiation and
influencing skills.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with partners CSOs
A positive and dynamic attitude;
Strong organizational skills, work methodology: Ability to plan,
prioritize and organize own and others' work; ability to work under
pressure to meet established deadlines.
This position requires some local and international travel.
