Internships vary from working on a jobsite with field staff to working in the office with different departments. However no matter your position, you will have real-world responsibilities and duties.

Available Internships Include: 

• Estimating

• Operations

• Safety

• Equipment Installation

• Steel Fabrication & Erection

Job Functions May Include:

• Assisting in the estimating process

• Attending pre-bid meetings

• Quantity take-offs

• Subcontractor bid solicitations

• Developing project schedules and reports

• Document control

• Daily coordination of subcontractors and suppliers

• Maintaining project files

• Shop drawing processing

• Contract administration duties

• Providing technical assistance to field personnel

• Coordinate and track drawing submittals for steel fabrication

• Follow steel projects through all processes (detailing, purchasing, fabrication, and installation) from start to finish

• Hands-on steel fabrication experience

• Hands-on steel erection experience

• Safety coordination

• Perform safety site orientations

• Assist with safety reports

• Conduct basic safety audits and observations

• Assist with creation and maintenance of Pre-Task Analysis

CIMARA offers both unpaid & paid internships.

Depending on the requirements of your college or university, you may be able to earn college credit. Internship candidates must be self-motivated, interested in learning all aspects of construction, and willing to travel. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, have strong communication skills, and a detail oriented focus. Experience with CAD and Primavera is a plus. Candidates must be currently in Yaoundé, Douala where where our constructions projects are on-going
