4.0 Confirmation of registration status of Candidates
The Board would like to inform both candidates and parents that examination centres have been directed to display candidates' registers at the sitting centres/schools where candidates registered in accordance with the UNEB Act, 2021. The display is aimed at giving candidates an opportunity to confirm the status of their registration as well as the correctness of the bio-da ta . Both candidates and parents are advised to take keen interest in the display. They should look out for correctness of the names, order of names, date of birth, gender, the pictures, and clarity of pictures, as well the subjects and papers registered for, in the case of UCE and UACE candidates.
Where anomalies in the candidate's bio-data are found, candidates should inform the school authorities, who should also alert UNEB through the provided procedures on the UNEB portal, before the start of the examinations. In the event that a candidate, for some reason, was not registered, but has proof of having paid registration fees in time, UNEB should immediately be informed. This can be done by coming to our offices in Ntinda or using our toll free line: 0800-211-077; or our customer care numbers: 0760-731-261/ 0776-865-556 / 0776-993- 335
Registration status of candidates can also be confirmed using the Short Message Service (SMS) option on the mobile phone handset. You are required to know the full index number of the candidate; Type REG, leave space, enter full index number then send to 6600.
5.0 Conclusion
Finally, we call upon all concemed parties especially teachers and parents to ensure that in the remaining time, the necessary teaching and leaming, as well psycho-social support is offered to the candidates to help them effectively prepare for the examination. This is as opposed to planning to indulge in examination malpractice. Once supported, the candidates have the required competencies to pass the examinations without any interference.
